Slime-filled Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
Preparation
- Serving Size: 10
- Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup cocoa

- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups marshmallow creme
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk (or more)
- 5-10 drops green food coloring
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix butter and sugar together until creamy. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add milk.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa, and add to other ingredients until just well blended.
- Use a teaspoon to measure out each cookie onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for eight minutes.
Slime Directions
- Mix all ingredients together very well.
- Add a few extra drops of green food coloring for a greener slime.
- Add extra milk-a teaspoon at a time-if filling is too sticky (it has to be a little oozy for a slimy effect).
- When the cookies have cooled, spread one heaping teaspoon of slime on the flat part of one cookie.
- Then top with another cookie. Gently press cookies together until slime oozes to the edges.
- Enjoy!
