Slime-filled Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Preparation

  • Serving Size: 10
  • Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup cocoa

Slime Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 cups marshmallow creme
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk (or more)
  • 5-10 drops green food coloring

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix butter and sugar together until creamy. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add milk.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa, and add to other ingredients until just well blended.
  4. Use a teaspoon to measure out each cookie onto a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for eight minutes.

Slime Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together very well.
  2. Add a few extra drops of green food coloring for a greener slime.
  3. Add extra milk-a teaspoon at a time-if filling is too sticky (it has to be a little oozy for a slimy effect).
  4. When the cookies have cooled, spread one heaping teaspoon of slime on the flat part of one cookie.
  5. Then top with another cookie. Gently press cookies together until slime oozes to the edges.
  6. Enjoy!
