Preparation

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oleo
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 1/4 cups white flour
- 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp cocoa
- 3/4 Large bottle red food coloring
Frosting Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup oleo
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 Large bottle red food coloring
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream oleo and sugar. Add eggs.
- Separately, mix cocoa and 3/4 bottle of red food coloring. Add to creamed mixture.
- Add milk, flour, salt. Add Vanilla. Add soda and vinegar last.
- Pour in two round cake pans.
- Bake 30 minutes. Let cool.
Frosting Directions
- Microwave until thick milk and flour.
- Cream in oleo and sugar. Microwave until thick.
- Use electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Refrigerate to cool, then spread between layers of on top of cooled cake.
