About

I’m a Guns N’ Roses groupie, Formula 1 fan, and doggie daddy to a Mini Bull Terrier. I love craft coffee and especially Sprinkles.

The Official Sounding Version

Dennis Vogel is a marketing executive and part-time doorman for a dog named Finn. He formerly worked in Silicon Valley where he developed concepts into to market-leading products, including firewalls at Cisco Systems, the infamous Linksys iPhone, and a mobile app for Hollywood director Kevin Smith. He graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S. in Marketing (not a joke, but he finds it funny).

Finn is a Miniature Bull Terrier. A breed known for their distinctive egg-shaped head and playful demeanor. He’s also a pretty good life coach to those who pay attention. He is a descendant of Kingsmere Moondoggie (aka “Smudgie”), an American Kennel Club champion and the original Target dog.

The Other

In addition to a pretty decent career, hard work and luck have afforded me some pretty good life experiences. Among them:

  • Raised a bull terrier that taught me a lot about life. He just so happens to be related to the original Target dog.
  • Saw Guns N’ Roses Riverport Riot show in St. Louis. Then caught Axl’s whistle in St. Louis 26 years later.
  • Met F1 legend Michael Schumacher in the paddock at United States Grand Prix Indianapolis
  • Snorkeled with giant Manta Rays
  • Got a hand drawn Homer Simpson from Matt Groening at Comic-Con
  • Met George Lucas. Twice.
  • Helicoptered over an active volcano
  • Ate sushi fresh off the boat at Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo
  • Attended Steve Jobs presentation of NEXT box
  • Developed an iOS app with Kevin Smith
  • Visited the Modern Family TV set
  • Watched Halle Berry and The Simpsons cast record voiceovers
  • Sat down with movie industry folks ranging from Emmy-winning producers to porn studio founders
